Title

Real-Time Crowd Rendering

Abstract

A technique for rendering animated 3D crowds of thousands in real-time using hardware instancing and vertex offsets. By baking an index for each vertex into the model's vertex color data, animations can be baked into an image, allowing the animations to be played on static meshes by use of vertex offsets in their shaders.
