Mother Duck - An Algorithm for Swarms
Our goal is to create a swarm of robots that mimic the behavior of a mother duck and her ducklings. The mother duck’s goal is to navigate a path while keeping her ducklings close by. The ducklings follow mother and attempt to achieve secondary objectives. This system would be especially useful in scouting scenarios where mother can follow a set path, while the ducklings search off of the path to provide better coverage.
