Many of the faculty members in the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences are world-renowned within their respective fields. Students can earn degrees working alongside these exceptional mentors in Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geological Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Physics and Astronomy, and Statistics. Our undergraduate students have the rare opportunity to be involved in research, working closely with professors and graduate students.
Employers and graduate programs are eager to recruit students from our college because of the valuable hands-on experience they gain from this early research exposure. Through our annual Student Research Conference, students are well prepared to meet the expectations of professional research conferences throughout the world. In this conference, students present their current research and receive criticism from judges that are chosen from among the college’s faculty.
