The College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences is hosting a Career Exploration Series in the Wilkinson Center from October 20th through November 3rd at 4 p.m.
In a world where a college degree alone is not enough to obtain a job, an education and the applicable experience found in science and mathematics could be the key that opens doors to careers in law, medicine, industry and academia, among others.
Each night of the series, one department within the college will present to students the careers and opportunities awaiting its graduates. Science and mathematics reach beyond the elements, hardware, and numbers into vast fields and professions.
Many students ask themselves, “What should I major in?” or “What can I do with this degree?” While choosing a major is pivotal to an education at Brigham Young University, students should ask what they want out of life and what traits and skills set them apart from others in the job market. Science and mathematics may be the difference between “we went with another applicant” and “you’re exactly what this company needs!”
