College Scholarships

 

Generous donors to the college have made several college and department scholarships are available to eligible students who will be starting at least their second year at BYU. Talk with your faculty advisor by March 15 to be considered for a college scholarship.

Scholarship
Description

 

Carl Joseph Christensen
For juniors or seniors with a financial need.  Scholastic standing is to be considered, however, there is no specified GPA requirement.

Nephi A. Christensen
For students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Preference is given to students with financial need.

Elrod Leany
For students who work in their department for a minimum of 10 hours per week and have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

Doyle C. & Sandra J. Udy
For students with at least a 3.0 GPA, committed to complete their education and abide by the honor code.

Ira & Betty Myers
For students who are married, have children, and are attending after 3 years or more away from school.  Students must have maintained a GPA of 3.0.

Robert E. Nord
For qualified students who intend to pursue a JD or MBA degree.  Minimum GPA of 3.5 during two academic years preceding the award.

Grant A. Young
For undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in the biological or physical sciences at BYU and who have evidenced scholastic ability by maintain a GPA of 3.5.

B. John Garrick Foundation
For undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in the physical sciences with an emphasis on risk-informed studies relating to energy or the environment who have evidenced scholastic ability by maintaining a GPA of 3.5.

Questar
For students pursuing a degree in geological sciences, geophysics, other physical science degrees, or business and business-related degrees such as finance or computer science.
