The Student Research Conference (SRC) is an annual event sponsored by the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (CPMS) that allows both graduate and undergraduate students to present their research and receive constructive criticism.
The SRC is a valuable opportunity for students to gain experience and receive feedback in a setting that simulates a professional conference. Most presentations last 12 minutes, although a 3-minute format is beginning to be used also.

SRC Information

Students who have participated in past conferences cite the SRC as valuable experience that augmented their BYU education and helped to better prepare them for graduate school and the professional sphere. Over 400 students presented their research at the 2014 SRC.

Following the presentation sessions, recruiters and our corporate sponsors have the opportunity to meet with students to discuss career opportunities. SRC gives recruiters the ability to easily find the dedicated students in specific fields that their companies need. For more information on how sponsoring the Student Research Conference can benefit your company, please contact Brent Hall at brenth@byu.edu or call 801.422.4501.

The 2015 Student Research Conference will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Jesse Knight Building. For additional information on the conference, please contact Lynn Patten in the CPMS Dean’s Office at lynn_patten@byu.edu or call 801.422.4022.
